BNW Chapter 7

At the beginning Bernardo and Lenina stay at a rest house near the pueblo of Malpais.

At a the pueblo of Malpais, they see a lot of primitive humans, and an old man who Lenina describes a “terrible.” They also see women who are breastfeeding their children.

At the town square they see Indians who are playing music and dancing.

At the town square after they witness a ritual where a person is whipped until he bleeds, Bernard and Lenina meet John, who is dressed like an Indian but who comes from a Alpha-Beta parents. As John is speaking to them, Bernard realizes that his mother, Linda is actually the girl who the director told him he had lost, when the director went on vacation at the reservation a long time ago.

It appears that Linda gave birth to John, and at the end of the chapter Linda seems to be having a conversation with Lenina.

At last I also think that Lenina has a crush on John, the savage.
